Why we picked these

  • Filtered to brokers offering 1:500 leverage or more, then ranked by the maximum offered.
  • We still weight regulation: higher-tier licences are listed first at the same leverage tier.
  • High leverage is a double-edged sword — only suitable once you size positions with a hard stop-loss.

Frequently asked questions

Is high leverage dangerous?

It amplifies both profit and loss. At 1:1000 a 0.1% adverse move can wipe a meaningful share of margin. Use the lowest leverage that still lets you size a sensible position.

Why do regulators cap leverage?

Retail data shows most accounts lose money, and high leverage accelerates losses. Caps (1:30 EU, 1:50 US) are consumer protection for less experienced traders.

Does higher leverage mean lower cost?

Not directly. Leverage is about margin efficiency, not fees. A high-leverage broker can still have wide spreads — check both.
